ABOUT ME

Hi, I'm Elle.

Welcome to my site! I'm a native of Fort Wayne, IN living in Muncie, IN and an alumnus of IU Bloomington's class of 2021. From childhood onward, I have had a passion for creative expression that has led me to my current pursuits.

Following my graduation from IU Bloomington, where I received bachelor's degrees in journalism and environmental & sustainability studies, I returned to Ferguson Advertising, where I had worked in video production since becoming an intern in May 2020. From there, I became a full-time assistant video editor and motion graphics artist at Scofield Digital Storytelling in Indianapolis, IN.

Following my position at Scofield, I jumped back into the journalistic world as managing editor for the weekly publication Current in Zionsville in Zionsville, IN. I spent my time at Current reporting, photographing, writing and editing stories while building on my leadership and journalistic skills.

I am now proud to be a part of a wonderful team at Ball State University as a staff Video Producer at the Digital Corps, a unique agency-style, on-campus workplace that hires students to create project-based work for clients within the university and beyond.

In addition to my full-time job, I am constantly looking for more opportunities to tell others' stories through my work as a freelance photographer and videographer, as well as through volunteer content production for Red Tail Land Conservancy.

I am driven to make a difference using creative expression to facilitate connections between people, societies and the environments we all inhabit. Photo, video and the written and visual arts are capable of surpassing and overcoming barriers of culture and language, holding great potential for unity and a broadened understanding of how truly unique our world and its people are.
